Akbarnagar Residents Asked to Respond to Lucknow Development Authority’s Request by Housing Commission – ET RealEstate

LUCKNOW : The high court on Friday indicated that it would decide the fate of Akbarnagar residents who do not apply for houses or shops being offered by the state government for their relocation from the area.A bench of Justice Pankaj Bhatia passed the order on an application filed by LDA. The LDA had sought permission of the court to take action against those did not approach the HC or do not apply for the rehabilitation scheme. But the bench declined to pass any order on the application as requested by the LDA. It asked the petitioner residents to file their reply on LDA application.The HC on Thursday had stayed the LDA demolition drive agaisnt illegal shops and houses in Akbarnagar till January 22.
